We should welcome Diljit Dosanjh in Pakistan, says Nadia Khan
Renowned Pakistani host and actress Nadia Khan has finally addressed heavy criticism regarding herself for her contradictory remarks about celebrated actress Hania Amir working in the Indian movie Sardar Ji 3. The female praised the Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Nadia dropped a video on her Instagram handle and emphasized that she is still affirming her stance about Hania’s action of stepping into a Bollywood film while there was a huge political tension between the countries.
She said in the video, “Some people are saying that Nadia took a U-turn. First, I said that Hania and other actors should not work in Indian films. My stance even today is the same as it was before. You should not go where you are disrespected. Our artists were abused there.”
Nadia added that Pakistani stars have a huge following and big fame already, they do not have any need to get limelight by just collaborating in indian projects.
Nadia furthered that in the aftermath of the latest confrontation between the countries, Mahira was removed from her Indian project’s posters; however, another popular actress, Mawra Hocane, was also kicked out of her Indian film.
While talking about her opinion on Sardar Ji 3, she said: “Amid this chaotic situation and backlash, Diljit Dosanjh stood firm and released the film. He decided that he will not remove the Pakistani actress from the film and released it worldwide except India. I was so impressed and happy and I thought that Pakistanis should respect and welcome him. This was my stance.”
Before the release of the project, Nadia Khan expressed her opinion regarding celebrated star Hania Aamir's collaborations in India, saying that the actress is completely wasting her time by stepping into Indian projects.
Nadia Khan had voiced strong criticism against several showbiz personalities and social media stars for remaining silent during heightened India-Pakistan tensions, allegedly to protect their YouTube views and social media fan following.
