Asim Azhar's Azaan video in Australia goes viral
Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has won praise on after a video showed him reciting the Azaan during a gathering in Melbourne.
The clip captures Asim standing before a microphone in an outdoor public space, dressed in a traditional shalwar kameez and prayer cap as he delivers the Islamic call to prayer.
Following the traditional practice, the singer is seen raising his right hand to his ear while reciting the Azaan as members of the congregation sit quietly on prayer mats and listen attentively.
The gathering appears to have taken place in an open area surrounded by greenery with Melbourne's city skyline visible in the background.
Soon after the video surfaced online, fans praised Asim for the heartfelt recitation.
Asim Azhar is one of Pakistan's leading pop singers and performers, known for hit songs including "Jo Tu Na Mila," "Ghalat Fehmi" and "Habibi."
In addition to his music career, he shares moments from his personal life and international travels with his followers on social media.
