China ready to expand scope of CPEC to private sector: Ambassador

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on CPEC Authority Chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa in Islamabad on Thursday and expressed satisfaction at progress on CPEC projects on behalf of the Chinese government.
According to the details shared by Bajwa via Twitter, the CPEC chairman and the ambassador discussed future projects during the meeting. Bajwa said the Chinese ambassador assured him that his country was ready to expand the scope of the CPEC to the private sector. He quoted the ambassador as saying that his country was focusing on bringing in foreign investment this year.
