Father puts up stout defence of Malala

Malala Yousafzai and her stance regarding ‘Nikkah’ is now the trending topic on various social media platforms however Malala’s father has come up with an interesting revelation.

The Nobel Prize winner’s father took the misinterpretation of his daughter’s recent statement regarding the preference of a partnership rather than signing marriage papers to his heart and has declared that the media has an agenda and that is to twist the words of his daughter by inflicting a negative impression.

He declared that his daughter’s comment has been taken ‘out of context’.

In case you want to know what exactly has been printed by British Vogue labelling it as Malala’s statement:

“I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?”

Malala’s open-mindedness has landed her in deep trouble. As soon as her statement was released, it went viral and many social media users criticized the Human Rights Activist for her fearless declaration of words.

Malala’s father was asked to elaborate his daughter’s statement and what she meant by it.

“A news report has been making the rounds on social media since yesterday that your daughter Malala Yousafzai has categorically rejected the institution of marriage and said that ‘partnership’ is better than getting married,” Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai asked through a tweet tagging Ziauddin Yousafzai.

Father Ziauddin said, “Respected Mufti Popalzai Sahib, there is no truth in it. The media and social media have taken an excerpt of her interview out of context and shared it with their own interpretations. And that's it”.
