Fighting spirit in Long March: Imran Khan appoints Dr Yasmin PTI Punjab President

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday appointed Dr Yasmin Rashid as the party’s Central Punjab President following her fighting spirit during the long march.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Imran Khan replaced Shafqat Mehmood with Dr Yasmin Rashid. Reportedly, Shafqat Mehmood failed to mobilize workers in the long march.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has also appointed another PTI leader from Lahore Hamad Azhar as General Secretary of Central Punjab.
As per the report of the channel, the PTI’s President of the South Punjab chapter will be Aun Abbas Buppi while the President of the North Punjab chapter will be Amir Kiyani.
The sources in PTI informed that during the long march, Imran Khan was angry that the Punjab leadership for its failure to get the workers out.
The sources also said that PTI leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi were also aspiring for the Central Punjab seat.
