A delegation consisting of office bearers from Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Central Punjab on Saturday called on former president Asif Ali Zardari here at Bilawal House, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel. 

PPP Central Punjab acting president Rana Farooq Saeed, Hasan Murtaza, Faisal Mir, Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Samina Ghurki, Sufyan Yusuf, and others were included in the delegation.  

They held a discussion with the PPP Parliamentary President Asif Ali Zardari on the current political situation.  Asif Zardari also consulted with party officials on organizational issues and election preparations.

On the occasion, PPP Central Punjab president Rana Farooq presented a list of 30 leaders to Asif Ali Zardari ready to join PPP from the central province.

PPP Co-chairman was apprised that the leaders are likely to join the PPP in the next few days.

Meanwhile, several political leaders from Tunsa Sharif on Saturday announced joining the Pakistan People’s Party after meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari.

The politicians include Hafiz Tahir Ahmed Qaisrani, Imam Bakhsh Qaisrani, and Irfan Gardezi who announced joining PPP.

Hafiz Tahir Qaisrani along with Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood called on Asif Ali Zardari here at Bilawal House.

PPP Secretary General Nair Bukhari, Dost Mohammad Khosa, and Abdul Qadir Shaheen were also present at the meeting.

After the meeting, it was decided that Hafiz Tahir Ahmed Qaisrani will contest elections from Taunsa on the PPP ticket.
