Ban on masks and pillion riding imposed in Sorab and Nushki

Authorities in Balochistan have imposed a temporary ban on face coverings and motorcycle pillion riding in the cities of Sorab and Nushki amid heightened security operations against what officials referred to as "Fitna-ul-Hindustan", reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

According to official notifications issued by the local administrations, residents are prohibited from wearing masks or covering their faces in public, with immediate effect.

The ban aims to enhance identification efforts during ongoing counter-terror operations in the region.

Furthermore, motorcycle pillion riding has also been banned in both cities until June 10, as a precautionary measure to curb potential threats and ensure law and order.

The public has been advised to stay away from areas where security forces are actively conducting operations, particularly in Sorab, where movement restrictions are expected to remain in place during the anti-militancy crackdown.

Authorities say these measures are temporary but necessary for the success of the operations and the safety of citizens.
