Rawalpindi Anti-Corruption Court issues arrest warrant for Fawad Chaudhry

An Anti-Corruption Court in Rawalpindi has issued bailable arrest warrants for former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry after he failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

The order was issued by Special Judge Anti-Corruption Khawar Rashid, who directed authorities to arrest and present Fawad Chaudhry before the court on June 30.

The warrant pertains to a case registered by Anti-Corruption Punjab, accusing the former minister of involvement in the illegal transfer of land in a private housing society in Jhelum.

The court issued white (bailable) arrest warrants, meaning Fawad Chaudhry may secure release upon furnishing bail if arrested.
