A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Wednesday sent the accused of TikToker Sana Yousaf murder to jail on a 14-day judicial remand, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court of Judicial Magistrate Shehzad Ahmed Gondal ordered that no one be allowed to meet the accused in jail. It directed the investigating officer to submit a progress report by June 18.
Amid tight security, the suspect was brought before the court with his face covered.
The investigating officer had requested the identification parade of the suspect.

Approving the request, the court directed the Adiala Jail superintendent to make necessary arrangements for the identification process.
Earlier, the court expressed resentment over the absence of the prosecutor.
"Call the prosecutor. Proceeding will continue only after the prosecutor is present,” the court said.
On the presence of other prosecutors, the court spoke to the investigating officer and said, "By the way, the prosecutor does not come to the court. Today is a high-profile case, so all the prosecutors have reached the court."

The murder of MBBS student Sana Yousaf in front of her mother and aunt in the country’s capital a couple of days ago sparked widespread outrage and calls for action from civil society, activists, and celebrities alike.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed yesterday that the Islamabad police arrested the prime suspect and recovered the murder weapon and Sana’s mobile phone from him. The suspect also confessed to the murder, he added.
According to police, the 22-year-old committed the crime because she repeatedly refused his advances.
