Mourning the murder of Teen TikToker Sana Yousaf, Pakistani celebrities have called for speedy justice in the case of the brutal killing of the MBBS first-year student and stepped-up efforts against gender-based killing.
On Monday, the murder of the Chitral girl in front of her mother and aunt shook many across the country.
On Tuesday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the Islamabad police arrested the prime suspect and recovered the murder weapon and Sana’s mobile phone from him. The suspect also confessed to the murder, he added.
According to police, the 22-year-old murder suspect committed the crime because she repeatedly refused his advances.
The murder of Sana Yousaf sparked widespread outrage and calls for action from civil society, activists, and celebrities alike.

According to police, Sana Yousuf received two bullets before she died, and the bullets were fired by her cousin, who was visiting her house.
