Dar visits Iranian embassy in Islamabad, offers condolences over death of Khamenei
Says Pakistan stands firmly with Iran in this difficult time
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday visited the Embassy of Iran in Islamabad to express condolences on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Foreign Office said.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the deputy prime minister wrote his views in the condolence book at the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad.
In his message, Dar conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and the people of Iran, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the brotherly Iranian nation during what he described as a great national tragedy.
The spokesperson quoted Dar as saying that Pakistan stands firmly with Iran in this difficult time and shares in the grief of the Iranian people.
