Pakistan beat Austria 4-2 in Hockey World Cup Qualifier
Pakistan have reached the semi-finals after a commanding 4-2 victory over Austria in their third match of the Hockey World Cup Qualifier in Ismailia, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
Displaying clinical finishing and disciplined teamwork, Pakistan outclassed Austria in an intense contest.

Abubakar Mahmood led the charge with a brilliant brace, while Afraz and Muhammad Sufyan Khan added one goal each to seal the win for the Green Shirts.
Austria responded with two goals of their own, scored by Kellner and Skowls, but were unable to contain Pakistan’s attacking momentum and structured gameplay.

Following the impressive triumph, Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Wani congratulated the national team on their unbeaten performance in the qualifier round.
Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui, Olympian Hasan Sardar, and Chief Selector Samiullah Khan also extended their congratulations and expressed best wishes for the team ahead of the semi-final stage.
Pakistan now look forward to carrying their winning form into the knockout phase as they aim for a place in the World Cup.
