Six Army soldiers were martyred and three terrorists were killed in a fierce gunbattle in North Waziristan District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement of the ISPR released on Thursday, six soldiers embraced martyrdom in the exchange of firing whereas three terrorists were also killed and two others injured.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Saleem Khan, Naik Javed Iqbal, Sepoy Nazeer Khan, Sepoy Hazrat Bilal, Sepoy Syed Rajab Hussain and Sepoy Bismillah Jan.

Security forces personnel have launched a search operation in the area to trace more terrorists.

The ISPR statement said the martyred soldiers fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives for the motherland.

It said the security forces are committed to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
