Hide and seek game turns fatal as two minor suffocate in flour drum

A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in a village near Sahiwal, where two minor boys died due to suffocation after they got stuck in a wheat flour drum while playing a seemingly innocent game of hide and seek. 

According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the children’s parents had gone to the fields for wheat harvesting, leaving the children alone at home. 

Taking advantage of their free time, the children, aged just four and five, 

began playing around the house. 

During the game, they hid themselves in the flour drum it accidentally got locked.

With no adults present in the house, their cries for help went unheard. 

By the time the parents returned home and realized the children were missing, they immediately alerted the police. 

Upon arrival and inspection of the house, police opened the sealed drum and were met with a harrowing sight — both children were found lifeless inside.

Police officials confirmed that the siblings died from suffocation due to the airtight seal of the drum. 

Their bodies were handed over to the grieving family after legal formalities.

The incident has sparked an outpouring of sympathy and sorrow across the village.
