LPG price slashed by Rs10 per Kg; Citizens demand uninterrupted Sui Gas supply

In a significant relief to consumers, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been reduced by Rs10 per kilogram, bringing the new rate down from Rs260 to Rs250 per kg, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

This price cut has brought temporary comfort to citizens, especially those suffering due to the persistent natural gas shortages across the country. 

People welcomed the reduction but urged the government to ensure an uninterrupted supply of piped natural gas to avoid dependency on costly LPG.

Citizens said that continuous gas shutdowns were forcing them to rely on expensive LPG, adding a burden to their household budgets. 

They called on authorities to formulate a long-term solution to the ongoing sui gas crisis.

“We appreciate the price reduction, but we want the government to address the root problem by ensuring round-the-clock gas availability,” said one local resident.

Many emphasised the need to reduce reliance on LPG by investing in sustainable and uninterrupted gas infrastructure.
