Dar reviews petroleum reserves and supply situation nationwide

A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday reviewed the country’s petroleum reserves and supply situation, expressing satisfaction over current stock levels and supply management.

According to an official statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, a detailed assessment of petrol and diesel reserves was conducted during the meeting. Officials informed participants that the existing stock of petroleum products in Pakistan is sufficient and stable.

The Ministry of Petroleum assured that an uninterrupted supply of fuel will be maintained across the country at least until the third week of May 2026. The meeting was briefed that the National Coordination Committee remains fully active in overseeing the petroleum supply chain.

Participants were told that the National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) is closely monitoring fuel supply on a daily basis to ensure smooth distribution and avoid shortages.

Dar appreciated the performance of all relevant institutions for their efforts in maintaining consistent availability of petroleum products nationwide.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers, the interior secretary and the chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
