Govt notifies more transfers and postings in federal bureaucracy

The federal government has issued a series of notifications regarding transfers, postings and extensions of senior officials across various departments, according to the Establishment Division.

Under the new orders, the tenure of Mukhtar Paras Shah, serving as Administrator of the Pakistan Abandoned Waqf Properties, has been extended for two years. His new term will run from May 25, 2026, to May 24, 2028.

In another key appointment, Muhammad Irfan Khan, previously an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Establishment Division, has been appointed Joint Secretary (Immunisation and Polio Control) in the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Akif Rashid, currently serving as Section Officer in the Industries and Production Division, has been appointed Deputy Director in the Presidency on a three-year deputation.

Additionally, Deputy Secretary Ministry of Commerce Muhammad Salman Khan has been transferred, with his services returned to his parent department, the Ministry of Commerce.

Separately, the deputation term of Saeed Saleh Jumani, a Grade 19 officer of the Secretariat Group currently serving with the Sindh government, has been extended until May 31, 2027.

All orders have been formally notified by the Establishment Division.
