Hira Khan sounds alarm as ‘Karachi Heatwave’ takes a toll

Famous actress Hira Khan has shared a heartfelt update, revealing her own illness while urging the public to take precautions during Karachi’s intense heatwave.

Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a candid story informing followers that she has been battling a fever since the previous night.

Highlighting the severity of the weather, she noted that the illness likely stemmed from current conditions even though she had remained indoors.

Using her platform to spread awareness, Hira emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, particularly for those who are exposed to the harsh sun due to work commitments.

She also encouraged people to extend small acts of kindness by providing water bottles or oral rehydration solutions (ORS) to outdoor workers such as delivery riders and security guards, who are especially vulnerable during extreme temperatures.

Her message comes at a time when Karachi is experiencing a significant surge in heat levels, often intensified by the urban heat island effect.

Health experts have similarly advised citizens to limit sun exposure, increase fluid intake, and remain cautious of seasonal illnesses that tend to rise during such conditions.

Beyond her on-screen presence, Hira Khan continues to connect with audiences through meaningful and socially aware content.

She first gained recognition with her role in Pyari Nimmo and later impressed viewers with performances in Woh Pagal Si.
