A big number of people participated in the funeral of a PTI worker Muazzam Gondal in Wazirabad, 24NewsTV channel reported on Friday.

He was a participant in PTI’s long march along with his sons when he became a victim of bullet fire while averting an assassination attempt on former premier Imran Khan and PTI chairman Imran Khan yesterday.  

Hundreds of people representing all walks of life attended the funeral prayer held in open fields near the deceased's residence. Rana Bilal Ejaz, Fayyaz Chatta, Arqam Khan, and other PTI district leaders participated in the funeral prayer. Deputy Commissioner Aamir Shahzad, Assistant Commissioner Rana Amjad, and Political Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister Khalid Mehmood Cheema also participated in the prayer. Scores of Tehreek-e-Insaf workers also participated in the funeral prayer. The little sons of the deceased also participated in the funeral prayer.

Later, he was laid to rest in the Nanganwale graveyard in Wazirabad.
