Fog shuts down two sections of motorway in Punjab

As fog has engulfed various parts of Punjab, the authorities have shut down two sections of motorway in the morning to avoid any untoward accident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Lahore-Multan Motorway M 3 has been shut from Faizpur to Samundri and M 2 from Lahore to Sheikhupura has been closed due to fog.

Motorway police spokesperson said that the highways are closed for the safety of motorists. He asked the road users to keep their front and rear lights on during fog and avoid unnecessary travel.

He said that the commuters could call Helpline 130 for more information.
