Arrest warrants issued for Hakeem Shehzad in illegal drugs promotion case

A drug court issued arrest warrants for Hakeem Shehzad, a social media figure, in connection with the promotion of illegal medicines, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court of Muhammad Naveed Rana issued the warrants and directed the district police officer (DPO) concerned to produce Hakeem.

The court had previously framed charges against Hakeem Shehzad and his son and scheduled witness statements to be recorded in the proceedings.

However, Hakeem did not appear. The court has also summoned the guarantors of Hakeem Shehzad for the next hearing.

Earlier, the case had drawn attention after allegations surfaced regarding the unlawful promotion and advertisement of certain medicines.

Hakeem gained fame after he tied the knot with Dania Shah, the third wife of late Aamir Liaquat.

Dania made headlines after she landed in a controversy stirred over the death of Aamir Liaquat who was a noted figure in media.
