Police station attacked in Bolan’s Kathan area; weapons, motorcycle taken away

Unknown assailants attacked a police station in the Kathan area of Balochistan’s Kachhi (Bolan) district late Monday night, police sources confirmed.

According to initial reports, the attackers seized a submachine gun (SMG), a G3 rifle, and a motorcycle from the police station before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Police sources said the two-room police station, recently transitioned from the Levies Force to the regular police, had been temporarily set up inside a Livestock Department office. The motive for the attack remains unclear.

Following the incident, police and security forces launched a joint search operation in the surrounding areas to track down the assailants and recover the stolen weapons.

Authorities said additional security has been deployed in the region as investigations continue.
