The cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Multan, has arrested a man from Chishtian for blackmailing a woman after making videos and objectionable pictures of her, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The FIA said that the suspect was using some illicit pictures and videos of the victim to blackmail her.

Accused Moazzam has been blackmailing the woman through objectionable pictures and videos for several months.

On woman’s complaint, the suspect was traced and arrested while evidence of the blackmail was recovered from his possession.

The cybercrime wing of FIA Multan conducted an operation in Chishtian, arrested the accused and also seized videos and his cellphone.

The FIA has registered a case and started further investigation.

On September 22 last, four operatives of a criminal pornography gang involved in blackmailing, raping, and filming dozens of mostly young and underage people were arrested by the FIA in Karachi.

The four new arrests come after two other members of the alleged ring were detained earlier during raids and operations in various neighbourhoods of Karachi, including Gulistan-e-Johar and a housing society at Drigh Road.

All six were part of the racket allegedly involved in raping, sodomising, and filming young boys, creating and circulating pornographic videos, and blackmailing the victims through clips of sexual assault.
