After the revelation of ‘ghost employees' in Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), this time there is a news that over 30 SNGPL employees at its Harbanspura sub-office who had been ‘blacklisted’ in June over corruption charges have continued to receive salaries for the past three months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Under the Company Law, blacklisted employees are not eligible to receive salaries.

Hence millions of rupees were squandered in the payment of salaries to these ‘blacklisted’ people.

It has further emerged that those staffers who had been fired also continued to wield their powers during this period, and that they enjoyed the complete support of Harbanspura sub-office’s staff.

24News has learnt that the SNGPL’s finance department is under scrutiny now for continuing to pay salaries to the blacklisted employees.
