Master Tile director lands in jail for nonpayment of electricity bills

A court Tuesday sent Gepco bill defaulter Sheikh Mahmood Iqbal to jail in Gujranwala, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

It was stated that Civil Judge Nadia Yaqoob sent Master Tile Director to jail under judicial remand over giving bogus cheques of Rs120million to Gepco.

He was given an hour to settle the matters with the electricity company.

After the given time, when nothing could be settled, Shaikh Mahmood was sent to jail.

The Gepco recovery officer Muhammad Hussain had filed a case against the defaulter in Kamoke Police Station on September 16.
