Father shot dead in front of children during robbery in Duki

A tragic incident unfolded in the Jalalabad neighbourhood of Duki where armed robbers shot a man dead in front of his two young children before fleeing with his motorcycle, police and local sources confirmed Thursday.

The victim was identified as Mirza, son of Suleman Khel, who was travelling with his minor children when the assailants intercepted him. According to eyewitness accounts, the robbers attempted to snatch his motorcycle, and upon resistance, they opened indiscriminate fire.

Mirza succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his children witnessed the horrifying ordeal. The body was later shifted to Duki Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, while residents expressed shock and anger over the growing lawlessness in the area.
