Federal govt issues retirement orders for 14 senior Secretariat Group bureaucrats
The federal government has issued retirement orders for 14 senior bureaucrats belonging to the Secretariat Group, with the Establishment Division, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the federal government has also released the official notifications of these 14 top bureaucrats' retirements. They will retire upon completion of the age of 60 years.
Among the retiring officials are Grade-21 Senior Joint Secretary Sohail Akhtar, who will retire on February 11, 2026, and Adil Akbar Khan, Senior Joint Secretary of the Water Resources Division, scheduled to retire on April 15, 2026.
Grade-21 Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division, Samar Ahsan, will retire on June 4, 2026, while Joint Secretary of the Finance Division, Sohbat Ali Talpur, is set to retire on January 1, 2026.
Other retirements include Grade-20 officer Hafiz Abdul Hadi, currently serving in the Sindh government, who will retire on January 11, 2026; Khan Nawaz, Member (Finance) of the Heavy Industries Taxila Board, retiring on February 2, 2026; and Arshad Farid Khan, OSD at the Establishment Division, who will retire on February 9, 2026.
Joint Secretary of the Power Division, Muhammad Nasir Khan, will retire on February 10, 2026, while Sana-ul-Islam of the Establishment Division is due on March 10, 2026.
Meanwhile, Joint Secretary of the Cabinet Division, Sanaullah Khan, will retire on April 19, 2026, and Mir Afzal Khan of the Defence Production Division on April 30, 2026.
Tahir Ihsan, Joint Secretary of the Science and Technology Division, will retire on May 12, 2026, while Muzaffar Ali Barki of the National Heritage Division will retire on June 3, 2026.
Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sahibzada, will retire on March 26, 2026. The notification confirmed that all these officials, belonging to the Secretariat Group, are retiring on reaching the prescribed service age limit of 60 years.
