Minor girl assault case in Kahror Pakka: Accused arrested after failed escape attempt

Police in Kahror Pakka have arrested a man accused of committing an indecent act with a minor girl, officials confirmed Thursday.

According to police, the incident took place within the limits of the City Kahror Pakka Police Station. A case was immediately registered and assigned to the Crime Combat Division (CCD) Lodhran, which traced the suspect using CCTV footage and human intelligence.

During the pursuit, the accused attempted to escape by climbing the wall of a factory but fell, sustaining injuries. He was arrested in a wounded condition and later identified as Muhammad Afzal, son of Aslam, a resident of Kahror Pakka. His right arm with which he assaulted the minor girl, was broken during the escape attempt.

Police revealed that the accused is a married man with two children, a graduate of UET, and currently employed in a government department. During interrogation, Afzal expressed shame over his actions, apologised to Allah, the public, and the victim’s family, and vowed not to repeat such an act.

Regional Officer Multan said the CCD police remain on high alert for the protection of women and children, stressing that “eradicating crimes against women and children is our top priority, and such elements will be brought to justice.”
