Oil, gas reserves found in Pothohar Region of Punjab

The Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) announced on Thursday discovery of oil and gas reserves in Dhok Sultan 3 in the Pothohar Region of Punjab.

According to a PPL announcement, the new oil and gas field will produce 2113 barrels oil and 4.13 mmcfd gas per day.

This is the second deep oil discovery in the Pothohar Region, PPL announced. 

The latest discovery indicates presence of hydrocarbons in the Pothohar Kohat sub-basin, PPL said.
