Renowned cricket administrator Syed Mansoor Ahmed passed away Monday. His Namaz-e-Janaza held after Zohr prayers.

Syed Mansoor Ahmed, a scientist by profession, was the founder and long-standing head of KRL Sports.

He was the one who established the KRL cricket team which produced many stars like Shoaib Akhtar, Misbahul Haq, Nadim Abbasi, Shakil Ahmed, Irfan Bhatti, M Asif, Naeemullah, Navid Qureshi, Mohammad Wasim and dozens of others.

Mansoor dedicatedly and devotedly worked for cricket and raised KRL ground and stadium, one of the best in the country.

He was also conferred upon Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the government of Pakistan in recognition of his unmatched services to the country.
