We’ve put an end to ‘select Raj, says Bilawal Bhutto

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said the PPP got rid of the 'selected premier', 24NewsHD TV channel reported late on Monday.

“We have put an end to the select raj,” he told the participants of a demo staged to mark the death anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Bilawal Bhutto said: “We exposed Imran Khan. We declared him selected as he came to power by unfair means.

“He (Imran Khan) attacked democracy, media, judiciary, and parliament as he has nothing to do with public service.

"His agenda is to please his friends. He inflicted big damage upon the country. He entered into the IMF deal”

The PPP chairman reminded the PTI chief of the latter’s promises he made during electioneering and broke his promises after becoming PM.

“He said before the election that he would prefer committing suicide to going to IMF but took a U-turn,” Bilawal said, adding that poor financial policy left hardworking farmers and small growers in the lurch.

The PPP chairman Bilawal said that without electoral reforms, the next elections would also be controversial and people will say the new government ‘selected’ again.

He said it is necessary to follow and implement the constitution if wanted political stability in Pakistan. He said PPP had faced rigging in elections in the past so it has no fear about that because Benazir Bhutto had won elections twice despite all opposing elements.

The PPP chairman said they will not bear with the ‘coup’ of Imran Khan and would not stay home till ousting him from ruling corridors.

Bilawal also expressed a hope that the Supreme Court will cure Imran Khan’s coup rightly which is undemocratic and unconstitutional.

He said Imran Khan has made every institution controversial. He cannot escape now, he added.
