Lodhran robbers gang arrested, recover stolen goods worth millions

Lodhran police have arrested the leader of a robbery and theft gang along with his accomplices, recovering stolen goods and cash worth approximately Rs 5 million and returning them to their rightful owners, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to police officials, the operation led to the arrest of key members of the gang, including its ringleader Imran alias Mana, along with suspects Riaz and Zahid Baloch. 

Authorities said the suspects were involved in multiple incidents of robbery and theft in the area.

During the raid, police recovered stolen property valued at Rs5 million, along with Rs24,000 in cash. 

The recovered items included six tolas of gold jewellery, three cows, one bull and four motorcycles, highlighting the scale of the gang’s criminal activities.

District Police Officer Ali Bin Tariq personally handed over the recovered gold jewellery and other valuables to the original owners. 

Affected citizens expressed gratitude to the police for successfully recovering their belongings.

Officials further stated that the arrest of the gang has led to the resolution of at least 15 cases, marking a significant success in the ongoing efforts to curb crime in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Ali Bin Tariq said that indiscriminate actions against criminal elements would continue. 

He emphasised that such professional and effective operations not only enhance the reputation of the police but also strengthen public confidence in law enforcement agencies.

He added that the police remain fully committed to meeting public expectations and ensuring the safety and security of citizens at all times.
