Shandana Gulzar slams 'Form-47 government,' says PTI founder’s imprisonment is a threat to Pakistan’s survival

Speaking at a checkpoint near Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Shandana Gulzar delivered a fiery address Tuesday, alleging that the state is weaponising its institutions to suppress dissent and keep PTI founder Imran Khan isolated from the public and his supporters.

"An innocent man is in jail, and police from all over Pakistan have been deployed just to stop people from meeting him,” she said, visibly emotional. "All law enforcement and intelligence agencies are afraid of Imran Khan. That’s the truth."

Only five MNAs, including herself, managed to reach the protest site, she revealed, while “the rest have been blocked at checkpoints.”

In a spiritual and political outcry, Shandana added, “If only we feared Allah as much as these institutions fear Imran Khan, we might’ve put an end to this oppression long ago.”

Rejecting the legitimacy of the current political setup, she declared, “We do not believe in this ‘Form-47 government’ forced on us for three years — sometimes under PDM 1, sometimes under ‘Undertake’, sometimes PDM 2 — it’s all just political theatre.”

She accused the government of economic mismanagement and intentional collapse. “Electricity bills are crushing the people, but who is held responsible? The founder of PTI is being kept in jail while the country is economically destroyed.”

In a chilling warning, she claimed a deeper plot is underway. “There is a conspiracy to divide Pakistan into five parts. This is not just about Imran Khan — it’s about the survival of Pakistan.”

She went on to denounce international influence, asserting, “These are the tricks of world powers, and we understand them well.”

“We will not allow Pakistan to become another Bangladesh. We will not let our mineral resources be handed over to others. We are here not for ourselves, but for Pakistan — and we know sacrifices will be made. But we will revive the Constitution.”
