How long? Sabeena Farooq's heartbreaking reaction to crime surge

Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has expressed her heartbreak over the alarming rise in violent crimes across the country, saying she feels "broken" as repeated tragedies continue to claim innocent lives.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sabeena posted a collage featuring several young victims who recently lost their lives in separate incidents involving violence, kidnapping, and other brutal crimes.

The heartbreaking tribute was accompanied by a deeply personal note in which the actress reflected on her growing despair over the country's deteriorating law and order situation.

Sharing her anguish, she wrote:

"My heart feels hopeless now. It has become so heavy after witnessing all of this and feeling so helpless that nothing feels good anymore. Egos win every time, while innocence and the system fail. For how long? I understand that crime can never be eliminated completely, but at least punish the criminals. At least think about the families left behind. I don't know what has happened to humanity. I'm so broken, to be honest. I don't even know what to say anymore."

The actress acknowledged that crime cannot be entirely prevented but stressed that the failure to hold offenders accountable only deepens the suffering of victims' families. She questioned why justice continues to fall short despite repeated tragedies that leave the nation grieving.

Known for her powerful performances in acclaimed dramas such as Kabli Pulao, Mann Jogi, and Tere Bin, Sabeena has often used her platform to speak on social issues. Her latest statement has once again sparked conversations online about public safety, accountability, and the urgent need for meaningful reforms to protect innocent lives.
