Mishi Khan and Nabeeha Ejaz lock horns in heated social media exchange
Pakistani actress, host and social media personality Mishi Khan has strongly responded to television anchor and podcast host Nabeeha Ejaz after the latter criticized her online, sparking a heated exchange that has divided social media users.
The online spat began after Nabeeha Ejaz shared a video on Instagram, directly addressing Mishi Khan and accusing her of frequently criticizing people instead of promoting awareness or positive discussions. Nabeeha alleged that Mishi focuses on controversial topics for views and financial gain, concluding her remarks by saying, "Shame on you, Mishi Khan."
Refusing to stay silent, Mishi Khan took to the comment section of the video and responded with a series of pointed remarks.
In one of her comments, she wrote:
"I pray that you also go viral, darling. Before trying to shame me, please look at yourself because you're doing the exact same thing. People living in glass houses should not throw stones."
She further questioned Nabeeha's criticism by pointing out that she, too, was creating content about others.
"What are you doing here right now? The same thing."
Mishi also defended the nature of her content, saying Nabeeha had clearly not explored her profile before making assumptions.
"It seems you haven't seen my profile. From stray dogs to every social issue, I talk about many important matters."
Addressing allegations that she creates controversial content for money, Mishi claimed that none of her social media accounts are monetised.
"My accounts are not monetised. You're the one earning through YouTube and brand collaborations."
She also maintained that entertainment portals voluntarily pick up her content without any effort on her part and insisted she has no personal issues driving her online commentary.
In another strongly worded comment, Mishi clarified that her criticism had been directed at a particular mindset rather than an individual.
"I said shame on his mentality, not him. At least I don't make hideous thumbnails saying 'Exposed' like you did. What exactly did you expose about me? That cheap poster says more about your mentality than mine."
The exchange quickly gained traction across social media, with many users stepping into the debate. A large number of commenters expressed support for Mishi Khan, arguing that she regularly speaks about public awareness, animal welfare and social issues in addition to commenting on controversial matters.
Others, however, sided with Nabeeha Ejaz, saying public figures should avoid personal attacks and encourage more constructive conversations online.
