Nationwide ceremonies honour martyred police officers

Glowing tributes are being paid to martyred policemen who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties continued in different parts of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab Rao Abdul Karim visited the grave of martyred Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) Police Capt. ® Syed Ahmad Mobeen in Cavalry Ground and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
A smartly-turned-out contingent of police paid a salute to the IG. Later, Rao Abdul Karim visited the residence of the martyred police DIG.
Another event was held at SSP Ashraf Marth Shaheed Police Lines, in which floral wreaths were laid on the monument of Shaheed Ashraf Marth.
The participants of the event sought the blessings of Almighty Allah and also prayed for the solidarity of the country.
Deputy Commissioner, district administration, and other high-ranking police officials were present on the occasion.
In Peshawar, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited Police Lines, where he was warmly received by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mian Saeed.
Later, the Governor laid a floral wreath on the grave of martyred policemen. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in peace.
In another event, local commanders of the Pakistan Army and FC visited different headquarters and police stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They also reviewed the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and paid tributes to martyrs for their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
