A case has been registered against a suspended Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) official who hugged and kissed the human resources director as revenge by telling him later that he had tested positive for the coronavirus virus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Shehzad Anwer was angered by the departmental action which also included stopping the release of his salary. So on Friday, he forced his way into the office of Jamil Farooqi who had no idea about the motive.
Farooqi stood up and exchanged greetings as Shehzad entered the room with a smile on his face. After shaking hands, the angry official hugged and kissed him to the director’s “pleasant surprise”.
But everything changed soon when Shehzad told Farooqi that he had contracted coronavirus after which he left the room.
Police said they were unable to arrest the suspended official and would have to make special arrangements given the claim that he had tested positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, the KMC head office was being disinfected and thoroughly cleansed after the episode with several vehicles and staff members taking part in the process.
