Gold prices hit a new all-time high in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan hit an all-time high on Monday as the rate of the dollar against the Pakistani rupee gained value again.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, gold prices of 24 karats in the local market reached an all-time high of Rs1,64,000 per tola, seeing Rs700 per tola increase in a single day.
In the local market, 24-karat fine gold moved up Rs601 to reach the highest level of Rs1,40,604 per 10 grams.
It is interesting that in the international market, the rate of gold is decreased by US$4 to US$1794 dollars per ounce but in Pakistan, the prices of gold are skyrocketing.
On the other hand, the price of pure silver of 24 karats remained unchanged at Rs1,780 per tola in the local market.
