Hadiqa Kayani makes to BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women List
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has officially included Pakistani singer and actress Hadiqa Kayani in its prestigious list of the 100 most influential women. Her inclusion in BBC’s list is a testimony to her influence not only as a musical icon but also as a passionate advocate for humanitarian causes, making a lasting impact both locally and globally.
A renowned Musical Icon Hadiqa, who gained immense popularity in the 1990s with her pop music, is celebrated not only for her versatile voice but also for her humanitarian efforts. Her contribution to music and society has earned her a spot on this global list.
It should be noted that she is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), advocating for global change and social causes.
In response to the devastating floods in Pakistan in 2022, she launched the Wasil-e-Raah project. This initiative is focused on providing support and aid to those in need, specifically in the flood-affected areas of Balochistan and south Punjab.
Hadiqa has continually urged the public to contribute and help homeless families, Emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in rebuilding lives after natural disasters. Her dedication to helping the homeless has been visible through her efforts to rebuild communities. Last year, she built 370 homes and provided essential facilities for displaced families under her projects.
