PPP’s Sherry Rehman asks PTI to shun politics of violence 

Referring to former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s statement in which he had said that he had a last card, which he would show at an appropriate time, PPP Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman said on Thursday that the country did not need confrontation but peace and stability, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sherry said it was unfortunate that the PTI was doing the politics of conflict due to which there was instability in the country. “For the sake of the Almighty Allah, quit politics of division and hatred,” she appealed. 

The PPP senator was of the view that May 9 and November 24 would be remembered as black days in the country’s political history. 

Accusing the PTI of fanning ethnic prejudices, she advised the party to reform its way of doing politics. “Don’t participate in sit-ins, but participate in parliamentary debates.”

“If there are shortcomings in the system, come to the parliament to remove them,” she said, adding, “The party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) should focus on improving the law and order situation in the province.” 

She opined that unfortunately, the PTI had not realized its responsibilities in the province and at Center.
