President Zardari approves key appointments to SC, high courts
President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday approved three major appointments following recommendations from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, according to official sources.
Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput has been appointed permanent Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC). Similarly, Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhel's appointment has been approved as the permanent Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court (BHC).
In another important move at the federal level, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has been elevated as a permanent judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
These appointments were recommended by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan before being sent to the president for final approval.
