PTI parliamentary party voices strong reservations over Salman Akram Raja
A meeting of the PTI Parliamentary Party Friday ended without a breakthrough as members voiced strong dissatisfaction over Salman Akram Raja’s recent conduct, according to party sources.
During the meeting, lawmakers reportedly expressed no confidence in Raja and conveyed their concerns directly to Barrister Gohar Khan.
Members urged Gohar to inform the party’s founding chairman that the decision regarding Salman Akram Raja “was not appropriate,” sources said.
According to insiders, several members complained about Raja’s behaviour in the past two meetings, saying his attitude had become a point of friction within the party.
In a firm stance, some lawmakers reportedly declared they would not retweet any posts from the founding chairman until the decision concerning Salman Akram Raja was reversed.
Barrister Gohar, however, advised members to remain patient and handle the situation with composure, sources added.
The meeting concluded without any final decision.
