Abhishek Bachchan showered with warm wishes on 49th birthday
Warm wishes, laughter and surprises from family, friends, fans and followers poured in for Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan as he turned 49.
Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a rare throwback photograph from 1976. The black-and-white image showed a young Amitabh staring at his newborn in the maternity ward. The black-and-white image, was posted on Amitabh’s personal blog.
Surrounding him are nurses, adding to the warmth and significance of the moment. The image reflects not only a father’s deep affection but also a time in Amitabh’s life when he was rising to superstardom.
“Tonight will be a late one… Abhishek turns 49, and his new year begins... February 5, 1976. Time has flown by so quickly…”Amitabh penned as he reflected on his son’s journey and growth over nearly five decades.
He added: “Sometimes, there’s a desire to stir the mind and share thoughts, but with information so readily available everywhere, many interpretations can distort the message… So…”
Following the throwback, several celebs and Bachchan family fans flooded social media with birthday wishes and appreciation for the emotional glimpse.
Filmmaker Farah Khan posted a playful video on Instagram, where she is seen hugging and kissing Abhishek, captioning it, "This n Much more Love to my boy @bachchan on his birthday today!! p.s. - he pretends he doesn't like me doing this but actually he loves it!!"
Aishwarya Bachchan too extended her wishes to Abhi on Instagram by sharing his shots.
Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to share a shot showing him and Abhi looking at each other. Ajay is seen sporting a white denim jacket over a black t-shirt and pants, while Abhi looked dashing in a blue formal blazer, paired with a printed shirt and white pants.
"Always making my chest like a blouse… hahaha Happy birthday Bachchan," reads the caption.
Actresses Sonali Bendre and Sonam Kapoor also conveyed their birthday wishes.
Sonali shared a photo hugging Abhishek, writing, "Happu Birthday, AB! Sending lots of love and best wishes your way @bachchan," along with a pink heart emoji.
Sonam Kapoor posted a picture from their movie "Delhi 6" and wrote, "Happy Birthday Abhishek."
Reflecting on his journey, Filmfare highlighted some of Abhishek's most memorable moments at their awards ceremonies over the years, showcasing his contributions to the film industry.
Bachchan Junior made his acting debut in 2000 with JP Dutta's war film Refugee, and followed it by starring in over a dozen films which were all critical and commercial failures. His first commercial successes came with the 2004 action films Dhoom and Run
He went on to earn critical appreciation for his performances in the dramas Yuva in 2004, Sarkar in 2005, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in 2006 and he won three consecutive Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, making him the second and only actor after Dilip Kumar to grab these awards consecutively.
Abhishek Bachchan's most recent appearance was in I Want To Talk, a film directed by Shoojit Sircar, which also starred Jayant Kripalani and Johny Lever in prominent roles.
