Karachi boys, girls dominate Sindh Inter-Division Ring Ball Championship

Karachi’s boys’ and girls’ teams clinched first positions at the Sindh Inter-Division Ring Ball Championship 2026 held at the YMCA Sports Complex in Karachi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.

The championship featured divisional teams from Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana, with around 195 players, team officials, coaches, and technical staff participating in the event.

The opening ceremony was attended by Azim Aqili, Chief Executive Officer of SEZMC, as the chief guest.

District Sports Officer South Karachi Farid Ali, CEO of SIDAT IT Technology Imran Syedat, and Madad Ali Shah, Secretary General of the Pakistan Shooting Ball Federation, were among the guests of honour.

In the boys’ competition, Karachi Division secured the top spot, followed by Sukkur Division in second place and Mirpurkhas Division finishing third.

Karachi Division also dominated the girls’ category, claiming first position, while Sukkur Division placed second, and Hyderabad Division finished third.

The closing ceremony of the boys’ event was attended by Dr Nauman Syed, Chief Executive Officer of SI Global Solution Ltd, as the chief guest.

The girls’ event featured Nabila Farhat Junejo of the Convent of Jesus and Mary School, Clifton, as the chief guest.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Nauman Syed pledged full support for the promotion and development of ring ball across the province.

At the conclusion of the championship, chief guests distributed prizes among the winning players and congratulated them on their performances.

In individual awards, Yeshal Azim of Karachi Division was named Best Shooter in the girls’ category, while Rose Maria won Best Centre Player and Hadiya Salman received the Best Defender award.

In the boys’ category, Saad Haider of Karachi Division was declared Best Shooter, Shehzad Augustine earned the Best Centre Player award, while Ahmed of Sukkur Division was named Best Defender.
