Three more charged in Shahzad Akbar, Adil Raja case; court appearance today

British police have charged three more people in connection with the case involving Shahzad Akbar and Adil Raja, bringing the total number of suspects charged to seven.

According to police, Asif Afsar, McGarry and Mark Regan, who are from Birmingham and the surrounding area, were arrested on February 3. All three are scheduled to appear in court today.

Police also confirmed that two more people were arrested in the case but were later released on bail.

Earlier, four people were charged in connection with attacks on Adil Raja and Shahzad Akbar. With the latest charges, the number of accused in the case has risen to seven.

The trial in the case is set to begin on February 13 at the Crown Court.
