President okays appointment of new PHC CJ Qaisar Rashid
President Arif Alvi has approved posting Justice Qaisar Rashid Khan to the Peshawar High Court as chief justice.
The federal law ministry notified the posting after the approval of the president.
On November 13, then chief justice of Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmad Seth died after catching coronavirus.
On October 22, the 59-year-old was hospitalised in Islamabad as he had symptoms of being infected by Covid-19.
He survived a wife and a daughter.
