Four members of Pakistan's T20I squad land in Sri Lanka
The first group of Pakistani cricket players reached Colombo to play a three-match T20 International cricket series, while the remaining players will depart today (Monday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Faheem Ashraf, Salman Mirza and Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Shadab Khan already reached Colombo.
Players who recently featured in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) have already returned to Pakistan. Meanwhile, head coach Mike Hesson and other foreign support staff will travel directly to Sri Lanka.
Sources added that the foreign coaching staff had returned to their respective countries for the annual Christmas and New Year holidays following the recently concluded tri-nation series.
It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan–Sri Lanka T20I series will be played on January 7, 9, and 11, with all three matches scheduled to take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium (RDICS) in Dambulla.
The T20 cricket series will provide an opportunity for Pakistani players ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
The men in green are scheduled to play all their World Cup matches in Colombo.
