Gold price glitters by Rs9,200 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices increased sharply in the local market on Monday, as the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs9,200 to settle at Rs464,762, while the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs7,888 to Rs398,458, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs7,231 to Rs365,266, whereas silver prices also registered an increase, with 24-karat silver per tola going up by Rs267 to stand at Rs8,023 and 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs229 to Rs6,878.
In the international market, gold prices went up $92 to $4,424 per ounce, while silver increased by $2.67 to $75.48 per ounce, the association reported.
