Reacting to suspension of 24NewsHD TV channel’s licence by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Friday, former finance minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday visited the 24NewsHD TV office in London and expressed his solidarity with the workers of the TV channel.
Speaking on the occasion, the PML-N leader lashed out at the PTI-led government for launching attack on the freedom of press through Pemra. He said that suspension of 24NewsHD TV's licence reflects incumbent governments' fascist mindset.
He said the government has resorted to cheap tactics to hide its incompetence and weaknesses. "We condemn this act forcefully," he said.
