The control tower responded quickly and helped the plane land safely at the airport.
It is reported that the plane was carrying as many as 100 passengers on board.
However, none of the passengers was allowed to leave the plane at the airport.
It was the Flight SG-11 of SpiceJet that was heading towards Dubai from Delhi.
IndiGo airlines flight number 6E1412 travelling from Sharjah to Lucknow had entered Pakistani airspace via Iran and a passenger had fallen ill when the jet was in Pakistani airspace.
Once the request was granted, the airliner had made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. However, the 67-year-old passenger, Habibur Rehman, had already passed away on the plane.
The Pakistani medical team had prescribed that the passenger had passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
